I’m Jason Church, a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager with 31 years of experience in veterinary medicine. My career has included patient care, client service, grooming, nonprofit leadership, business operations, and practice management.
I currently manage an independent veterinary practice in coastal North Carolina. My work focuses on building dependable systems, supporting veterinary teams, maintaining regulatory compliance, strengthening client communication, and helping a practice remain both financially healthy and humane.
I continue to invest in professional education, including Fear Free training, employment law, leadership, and the changing operational demands of veterinary medicine.
I created The Practice Manager’s Journal to share practical lessons from the field. This is a place for honest discussion about leadership, workplace culture, client boundaries, compliance, technology, financial stewardship, and the human realities behind veterinary care.
I believe good management should protect patients, support employees, respect clients, and hold leaders accountable. Veterinary professionals deserve workplaces where compassion and sound business practices can exist together.
